A normal doctor's office, except extremely themed around ghosts. A metric shitton of snake themed things, as well, mostly presents from patients who don't know what else to get a snake themed ghost. Toys, for babies and adults alike.

She hasn't been to a doctor in ages.. She's not sure what to do with herself right now

She fiddles with the cuffs of her leather jacket an- Holy shit is that a snake?

[it is! he's about...5'3''....but if he stood up on his tail he'd be taller. slithering over he seems to have a more cheerful demeanor towards cassie] Hello, miss. Cassie, correct?

"Yeah- You're Dr. Caduceus?" She looks down at him with an awkward smile

Correct. And you're here willingly correct? [glares at technus]

"I am, yeah" She nods "I'm.. long overdue an appointment."

[he seems to relax a bit] Alright then. Come with me. [slither...] When you say "long overdue" how long are we talking?

"Uh... roughly a year I think? I used to go every four months" She follows behind Dr. Caduceus (edited)

Hm. [the room he leads them into is nice and pleasant. has a fake lighting on the top that looks like the sky. for a grump he obviously doesnt want people to feel TOO uncomfortable.] And you aren't fully dead, are you.

"I don't really. Like thinking about my current living slash dead status" She glances at the ceiling.. it's nice. She doesn't know if she should sit down yet? So she just stands awkwardly

[he pats a seat] Get comfortable. And unfortunately you're going to have to think about it, at least for the duration of your appointment. I will try to be gentle about it however.

"Right,, thank you" She goes to sit, then glances at Technus

[sitting nearby, giving her encouraging thumbs up]

You're lucky. I have a lot of things from the half-ghosts around here, so I can actually test you as a human as well. Arm out straight, please.

"Oh,, right-" She shrugs off her jacket, then holds her arm out for Dr. Caduceus

[just a normal blood pressure cuff....that's just slightly weirdly colored. get used to THAT] Now, I need to ask you some basic questions. Anything you aren't comfortable with, just tell me.

"I'll be sure to do that if I need to" She nods

Alright...Now. [he sits back as it starts Cuffing] What led to you being unable to go to the doctor for a year

"I was homeless and,, don't exactly have any form of ID." She explains,, she doesn't really need to mention the timey wimey bullshit right-

Ah. I see. Well, luckily, there's no need for that here.

"Yeah, I kinda guessed that" She chuckles with a nod Then she smiles "Screw capitalism"

[he notes down a few numbers, and thank god the mask hides a lot because he doesnt think hed be able to hide his frown otherwise. he reaches over with a digital thermometer and takes her temp, frowning Harder]

I'm still going. However so far... Hm. Cassie, would you say you tend to get sick easily?

Did she get sick often when she was in The Church..? She can't remember.. "I think..? A lot of the last year was sort of a blur of me sleeping or walking around Amity." "Though I did get sick for a while after Technus had taken me in"

[notes that....] Right. Well, without direct blood testing I can't be certain yet but I don't think it will come as much of a surprise to tell you you're severely malnourished.

"Well.. I used to spend most of my time wandering Amity, checking out the astronomy books at the library, searching for scraps, or begging for food and. sometimes when I couldn't get any, some of the other teens I ran into would uh." she looks at the ground before rushing out a "givemegasolineorectoplasmtohelpwithhungerpains."(give me gasoline or ectoplasm to help with hunger pains.)

"He is" She nods "I'm. really grateful he'd decided to take me in.."

Good. I'm glad. Technus, I'm going to give you a long list of things to feed her. Her diet should be changed slowly, but she's young. [he looks at her] You'll manage through this well, I believe.

She nods "Oh, good.. Thank you Dr. Caduceus"

[holding a hand up before technus can go Insane] It is, yes. It is not, however, fully formed. This is because you're still human, and also not a half-ghost. You're somewhat in between.

"That means what for me.. exactly?" She asks a little nervously

I won't lie and tell you I know for certain yet. Have you been experiencing bodily changes?

"Oh- My canines have gotten sharper.. uh. I think my nails have gotten harder? I also start to boil when I get too hot" She refuses to mention The Sounds

I see. This doesn't sound too surprising to me, as.you were until recently under a large amount of stress. Ghosts often change defensively.... Of course, I won't say this all for certain. You're an unusual case, I'd have to see you more often to get concrete answers.

She nods "That makes sense"

For right now I will tentatively say you're liminal. That means that while you may have a Core and some ghostly affectations, you aren't dead and still need to pay attention to your health as a full human would. [gentle] You aren't the only case I've seen like this, however. The formation of your Core is unique but many in Amity are liminal in some manner.

She nods again "oh.. alright" She's glad to know she's not the only person who's ended up like this, but she's a little stressed to know she's a "Unique Case"

That's just talking about the cases I've personally seen. I have no doubt there are others like you. [His voice.is gentle... He's clearly trying to soothe her a bit]

"Right- Of course.. Yeah.." The other street kids from her universe might. be like her too. They've been around for longer than she has..

Now... I don't think you will change constantly without end. That just doesn't make sense. It would be too much on your body.

So for now, [he holds out a ream of paper] I'm going to have you get these vitamins and other pills. Get plenty of exercise. Eat what Technus makes- I'll be giving you a separate list of foods.

"Alright-" She nods, taking the paper "-I can do that"

"Yeah" She places the paper in her lap before shrugging on her jacket

[cad looks at Technus, who lightly grimaces] I think it is a. Natural ghost thing from her universe.

She plays with the cuffs of her sleeves as she curls up a little more

[going over to pet her hair......there there] I have my suspicions but I don't want to say anything INCORRECT in the DOCTORS OFFICE

"okay.." she mumbles with a nod

[hell work on figuring that out more later. for now...he checks the results over one more time...and pauses. huh] Oh, that's interesting.

"What exactly does that mean for me..?"

Well it's nothing bad. I've seen plenty of dual types. Yours appears to be partially space. [humming] Which is interesting, but fundamnetally just means that you'll be experiencing attractions to things related to both core types.

The concept of Being Space Itself, while baffling, brings her immense joy but. she has to worry about what that actually Means first. "Is that not.. normal? Being part space I mean-" (edited)
